If walls could talk in this 3-story historic building they would tell us stories for days. Built in the 1840s it was originally used as a beer garden, later turned into the Mineral Spring Hotel because of the purported healing water occurring within the basement. The hotel was also used as a temporary hospital in the Wabash train crash as well as the fall of the grand stands at the Lenawee County Fair Grounds. The building was used as a hotel until 1903, then sold and turned into the Citizen's Light and Power company until 1941. It has since then been home to many other business's, and it's most recent use as The West Maumee Trading Company. The building sits along the River Raisin, within the DARA limits of the historic downtown Adrian.
